I'm really puzzled by this graph and disagree with a lot of the categorization that has been done for methods.
Why is the assumption that the level of end user validation needed is synonymous with qualitative data? In my experience, qualitative tells you much more about the 'why' that people want or don't want to solve a particular problem. In general, scoring (aka surveys) with people tends to build more confidence with worse data.
Also, aligning 'advanced' with 'quantitative' feels pretty empty. Building quantitative prioritization lists should be a starting point not the last word. You should have conversations with your team, stakeholders, etc. to decide what is the right balance. No numbers will ever get you there.
